Product description

The PK1 Chair has been created by Poul Kjærholm for the brand Carl Hansen. It is a Sustainable Choice product. This is because it is made of a natural material that is FSC-certified.

The PK1 Chair breaks ranks with the norm with its form and the material it is made of. It is made of paper cord which has been tightly woven to form a firm, comfortable seat and backrest. The unique shape starts at the top with a frame made of steel. Its high, wide backrest has an upper edge made of rounded tubes that are not covered with the paper cord. It is slightly reclined backwards. It broadens out downwards to form a generously sized seat. At the back, it extends outwards which makes the seat a deep, comfortable choice. The shell is supported by tubular steel rods. They have been shaped into U-shaped frames and are attached at the back and front to form the legs. They are angled rather than straight which makes it possible to stack the chair for convenient storage.

The PK1 Chair has a width of 50.5cm, a height of 77cm and a depth of 51.5cm. Its seat height is 47cm. It is available with a light-coloured polished frame or with a darker, powder-coated.
